Why Kakome shows up on every Albanian Riviera reel
Kakome curves like a horseshoe between two pine ridges, with a strip of pale pebbles at the head and impossibly clear water spilling out into the Ionian. It's photogenic in a way few other bays on the Riviera are — you don't need a drone to make it look cinematic. On the DES Boat Tour we anchor mid-bay for the longest swim stop of the morning.
What to do during the 20 minute stop
Most guests split the time between three things: a long swim off the boat, a snorkel along the rocky edges of the bay (visibility often 8m+), and floating breaks with a cold drink from the on-board fridge. Drone flying is welcome — respect other boats and keep line-of-sight, and the captain will point you at the best angle.
Access: why the boat is the way
There's no road down to Kakome. The nearest track drops you above the bay with no safe path to the water. Every guest we meet at the beach has arrived by boat, which is why the bay stays this calm even in high August.
