Guide

Krorëz Private Beach. The signature stop of the DES Boat Tour

Free sunbeds, free umbrella, and 2 hours of free time on the beach exclusive to DES guests — here's how the Krorëz stop works.

What makes Krorëz different from other Riviera beaches

Krorëz is a pale-pebble beach on the southern Albanian Riviera, hemmed in by cliffs and reachable only by sea. Every DES Boat Tours guest gets a reserved sunbed and umbrella at our section of the beach — no rental fee, no scramble for a spot in high season. It's the reason repeat guests come back to us instead of switching to a rival tour.

Is the sunbed really free?

Yes — it's included in the €30 per-person price. Elsewhere on the Riviera a sunbed and umbrella will run you €10-20 for the day. At Krorëz it's already yours the moment you step off the boat, held under your name for the full 2-hour stop.

Food and drinks at the beach

There's a small beach bar with fresh seafood, salads, and cold drinks. Cash only (euros or Albanian lek). Free drinks continue on the boat for guests who prefer to keep it simple and eat back on board — no obligation to buy anything on the beach.

Getting there without the boat

There's a rough dirt track from the highway but it's often impassable and not signed. Nearly every visitor at Krorëz has arrived by sea from Sarandë. If you're staying in Sarandë for a few days and Krorëz is the beach you most want to see, the DES Boat Tour is the direct route.

How Krorëz anchors the itinerary

Krorëz is stop 5 of 8 — the middle of the day and by far the longest stop. After Krorëz we head to Gjiri i Ushtarit, then Rrojdhe and finally the Secret Beach at golden hour before returning to Sarandë harbour.

Can I buy food at Krorëz beach?+

There's a beach bar with fresh seafood, salads, and drinks. Cash (€ or Albanian lek) accepted.

How long do you stay at Krorëz private beach?+

Roughly 2 hours, the longest stop of the day so you can truly relax, swim, and eat without rushing.

Can you reach Krorëz beach by car from Sarandë?+

There's a rough track but it's difficult and often impassable. Nearly every visitor arrives by boat from Sarandë.

Is Krorëz beach exclusive to DES Boat Tours?+

Sunbeds are reserved for DES guests and a couple of partner boats. The beach itself is public, but our section stays uncrowded.

Is the snorkelling good at Krorëz?+

Yes — the rocky headland at the north end of the cove has the best visibility. Bring the ship's mask ashore or grab a fresh one from the boat before heading over.

How hard is the swim off Krorëz beach?+

Very easy. The pebble shore drops off gently, the cove is fully sheltered, and the crew keeps eyes on the water for the whole 2 hours.

What should I bring ashore at Krorëz?+

Swimwear, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, cash for the beach bar (€ or lek), and swim shoes if you have thin soles — the pebbles are smooth but warm at midday.

Where are the best photo spots at Krorëz private beach?+

The wooden jetty at the south end for boat-and-cove shots, and the rocky headland to the north for the sweeping cove panorama during the golden hour later in the day.

Is Krorëz beach family-friendly?+

Krorëz is the family favourite of the whole tour — shallow shore, free umbrellas and sunbeds, a beach bar for kid-friendly food, and shaded space for infant naps under the bimini back on the boat.

Is snorkelling included at Krorëz Private Beach?+

Yes — Krorëz Private Beach is a swim stop. Free masks and snorkels are on board for every guest, and the crew hands them out before you get in. Visibility is usually 8–12 m on a calm day.

What time do we arrive at Krorëz Private Beach from Sarandë?+

We depart Sarandë port around 09:30 (please arrive 15 minutes early). Krorëz Private Beach is stop 5 of 8, reached about 2 hours after departure. The full tour returns to Sarandë by early afternoon.

What should I bring for Krorëz Private Beach?+

Swimsuit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a phone or camera (a dry pouch is handy). Everything technical — snorkel gear, life jackets, cold drinks, shade — is already on the boat, so pack light.

Free cold drinks and welcome refreshment on board, free snorkelling masks, free life jackets in every size, bimini shade on the boat and a reserved sunbed + umbrella at our Krorëz private beach later in the day — all part of the €30 per-person price. No extra fees at Krorëz Private Beach.
