How long is the boat tour?+
The DES Boat Tours experience is a relaxed 5 hours on the water, from morning departure to early-afternoon return in Sarandë.
Read the full answer →How much does the tour cost?+
€30 per person, all-inclusive. That covers the 8-stop itinerary, private Krorëz beach access, life jackets, free drinks on board and free sunbeds & umbrellas at the beach.
Read the full answer →Where do we depart from?+
We depart from Sarandë harbour on Bulevardi Sarandë, right in the centre of town. Address: Bulevardi Hasan Tahsini (near Krahu i Shqiponjës monument), Sarandë 9701.
Read the full answer →How do I book?+
The fastest way is our online booking form or WhatsApp. Pay in cash (€ or Albanian lek) on the day, no deposit required.
Read the full answer →Do you visit Ksamil?+
Our itinerary focuses on the wilder southern Riviera. Krorëz, Kakome, Turtle Cave, Anchor Cave and hidden bays that ferry crowds don't reach. Ksamil is doable on request for private charters.
Read the full answer →Is the tour good for kids and non-swimmers?+
Yes. The boat is stable, life jackets are provided for every guest, and non-swimmers can enjoy the shade under the bimini top while others swim.
Read the full answer →What should I bring?+
Swimwear, towel, sunscreen and a light layer for the ride back. We supply drinks, life jackets and beach umbrellas.
Read the full answer →Do you offer private charters?+
Yes. Contact us on WhatsApp for private full-day or sunset charters with a custom itinerary.
Read the full answer →What is your cancellation policy?+
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Bad weather cancellations are always free, safety first.
Read the full answer →Why choose DES Boat Tours?+
We're the 5-star rated boat tour in Sarandë because we run small groups, keep the boat spotless, know every hidden cove personally, and give guests exclusive access to Krorëz private beach.
Read the full answer →Do you offer hotel pickup in Sarandë?+
We don't do door-to-door pickup because the harbour is in the middle of town — every hotel on the Sarandë promenade is a 5–15 minute walk. If you're staying in Ksamil, Butrint or the hills above town, we'll arrange a local taxi that meets you at reception; drop us the hotel name on WhatsApp the night before.
Read the full answer →Where is the exact meeting point at Sarandë harbour?+
The exact meeting point is the DES Boat Tours dock on Bulevardi Sarandë, Bulevardi Hasan Tahsini (near Krahu i Shqiponjës monument), Sarandë 9701. Look for the DES flag on the boat. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure so we can get everyone on board and depart on time.
Read the full answer →What happens if the weather is bad on the day?+
The captain checks the forecast the evening before and again at dawn. If the sea is unsafe (strong meltemi, rain, poor visibility) we cancel and refund in full or move you to another day — your choice. We never sail in unsafe conditions to preserve a booking.
Read the full answer →What time of day has the calmest sea in Sarandë?+
Mornings, always. The Ionian is glassy until roughly 13:00–14:00, when the afternoon breeze picks up. That's why we depart at 10:00 — you get the calm-water photos, the mirror-flat swim at Kakome and the smoothest ride to the sea caves before the wind arrives.
Read the full answer →How many people are on the boat?+
We cap the shared full-day tour at 12 guests. That's small enough that everyone gets a proper seat in the shade, a fair turn on the swim ladder, and space to spread out at Krorëz — very different from the 40-person Sarandë party boats.
Read the full answer →Can you do a private group booking?+
Yes. Book the whole boat as a private charter — up to 12 guests for the same €30 per-person rate if you fill it, or a flat charter price for smaller groups. We tailor the itinerary (add Ksamil, extend at Krorëz, add a sunset finish). Ask on WhatsApp with your date and group size.
Read the full answer →What payment methods do you accept?+
Cash on the day — Euros or Albanian lek at the day's exchange rate. No deposit, no card machine, no online payment required to reserve. Cards and Revolut aren't accepted on the boat, so bring cash. Every hotel and ATM in Sarandë has both currencies.
Read the full answer →Is a deposit required to book?+
No. Reserve on WhatsApp with your name, date and group size — that holds your seats. No card, no deposit, nothing to pay until you're on the boat. We trust guests to show up and guests trust us to sail; it's how Sarandë has always worked.
Read the full answer →How do I cancel or reschedule my booking?+
Message us on the same WhatsApp thread you booked through. Cancellations 24+ hours before departure are free. Inside 24 hours, we'll always try to move you to another date at no cost if we have space — just don't no-show, that leaves seats we could have filled empty.
Read the full answer →Do you refund if I miss the boat?+
No — a no-show is not refundable because the seat sailed empty and can't be resold. That's why we ask everyone to arrive 15 minutes before departure and to WhatsApp us immediately if you're running late. In practice we've never left a guest behind who messaged us in time.
