Turtle Cave is the first stop on the DES boat tour, roughly 20 minutes north of Sarandë harbour along the Ionian coast. It's boat-only — no road access, no hiking path, no land tour reaches it.

Why is it called Turtle Cave?

The entrance arch, seen from the sea at the right angle, has the profile of a sea turtle's head and shell. Ask the captain to line the boat up with the classic angle for the photo — it only works from one narrow line of approach.
